Haarlem

haarlem

Haarlem is one of the loveliest ancient cities of Holland. It is a pleasant and safe city with approximately 150,000 inhabitants and is situated on the river Spaarne. Even from afar the tower of the Grote Kerk or Sint-Bavochurch invites you to visit. It has a monumental inner city with lots of interesting sites such as the Frans Hals Museum and the Teylers Museum.

In the attractive city centre you will find a diversity of bars and restaurants and a surprising amountof speciality and trendy shops.

The many monuments by the city architect Lieven de Key and the enormous amount of bars and restaurants give Haarlem a southern atmosphere and is therefore called the most Flemish city of the North. All this makes it worthwhile to visit Haarlem and on top of that the dunes and the sea are near by.
